Design a personalized Christmas name ornament for laser cutting, paper cutting or 3D printing. Choose an ornament frame and decorative font, add letters, numbers or common symbols, inspect the result in 3D, and export SVG, DXF or STL.
Letters and numbers use a consistent height and connect to both sides of the ornament opening. Punctuation and symbols keep their natural proportions and receive a narrow support to the nearest frame edge, so the laser-cut design has no loose or floating pieces. Longer text is compressed horizontally only when necessary.
All text is converted to vector paths before download, so the selected font does not need to be installed on another computer. The cutting drawing uses red for every separate inner cut line and black for the outer cut line, organized in one group. DXF exports preserve smooth curves and keep each complete contour as one editable spline object.
Download a solid STL model of the personalized Christmas ornament for 3D printing. The STL uses the selected ornament size and material thickness in millimetres and can be imported into standard 3D-printing slicer software.
The SVG and DXF files can be used for plywood, MDF, acrylic, cardboard and other laser-compatible sheet materials in LightBurn, CorelDRAW, Inkscape and other vector software. The STL file can be imported into standard 3D-printing slicers.
Use the SVG as a paper cut Christmas name ornament with Cricut, Silhouette Cameo and similar electronic cutting machines. The connected design has no floating letters or symbol parts, making it suitable for cardstock, paper, vinyl and other cutter-compatible craft materials.
Preview the ornament as birch plywood, cherry wood, MDF or acrylic. Acrylic color affects only the interactive visualization. Material thickness changes both the 3D preview and exported STL, while SVG and DXF remain precise two-dimensional cutting files.
Confirm the finished dimensions before production. Use cutting or printing settings tested for your machine and material.
Does material thickness change the exported file?
It changes the STL model thickness. SVG and DXF remain two-dimensional.
Can I resize the ornament?
Yes. Set a proportional width from 50 to 500 mm, or use inches.
Will the file require the selected font?
No. Every character is converted to vector curves before export.
